Tomorrow...Tweed’s Front Porch Ruckus on Sat., June 27! Here is the final map showing the location of the porches that are hosting 22 sets of performers (note Porch #6 has been cancelled due to illness). Look for the signs! Music will once again drift across the village of Tweed for another afternoon of free, family-friendly live music. The main event is 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, with two 'afterparties:'
1) 5 pm at the Legion with 'Break the Night', and
2) 4:30 pm to ? at the Cube Coffee Bar, featuring multiple performers, Thai finger foods and signature cocktails
The Ruckus transforms Tweed into an open-air music venue, with performers appearing on front porches, patios, lawns and other spaces scattered across the community. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stroll from location to location, discovering everything from folk, rock, pop and country to jazz and community band performances.
This year’s event headquarters is located at the Victoria Street parkette at 321 Victoria St. North in ‘downtown Tweed’, where visitors can pick up maps and information, enjoy complimentary water and take part in free face painting activities for children.
