Jane and Chris Elgee re-located to Truro from Britain in 2010 with their two children. They had a catering business back in Lancashire, but this is their first venture on this side of the pond. Come and meet the Elgee family and share their appreciation of what good food tastes like. Great British Grub, specializing in British regional pies and pastries, both savoury and sweet. Traditional recipes

recreating favourites like Cornish pasties, Melton Mowbray style pork pies, steak and ale pies, sausage rolls, steak and kidney pies, Lancashire Hotpot, Irish stew, Eccles Cakes and Bakewell Tart just to name a few.

Yesterday we had a run on baked goods, both savoury and sweet!
I have been hard at wirk replenishing stocks.
We have leek & potato soup on, and more quiche will be coming out of the oven in the next hour!

Happy Scotch Egg Day! I've also made a few pork pies this morning that will be ready later.
Soups are broccoli cheddar and turkey, kale & bean.
We have beef Rogan Josh on right now, for our curry.
Lots of freshly baked meat pies, sausage rolls, cheese & onion pasties, plus Cornish Pasties, quiche and I've made some veg pasties for those that prefer not to eat meat.
We have a variety of sweet treats, plus our all day breakfast menu and freshly prepared sandwiches and salads.
There really is something for everyone down at the Grub!

Todays soup is cauliflower chowder, and our curry is pork vindaloo.
We have lots of freshly baked meat pies and sausage rolls, salads and sandwiches made to order, and of course our all day breakfast menu, plus lots of delicious sweet treets.

Cornish Pasties are ready, Lorraine, and mushroom broccoli quiche are about to go in the oven, and our curry is Chicken Madras.
We have lots of freshly baked meat pies, sausage rolls and delicious desserts waiting for you down at the Grub!

Good morning!
Thank you all for your continuing support while I was away.
We have freshly baked meat pies and sausage rolls once again!
