We’re grateful for everyone!
We came into Centennial Park this year to serve Filipino food and desserts.. that was the plan, plain and simple. Halo-Halo on a hot afternoon, lumpia straight out of the fryer, and weekly dish specials for the people who grew up on it as well as people trying it for the very first time. What we didn't plan for was everything else that came with it..
The regulars who showed up every weekend, rain or shine. The people who tried Filipino food for the first time with us and came back the next weekend with bringing more friends with them to try us out. The families who made us part of their weekend routine, parents introducing their kids to flavors they grew up on. And even the connections and conversations made by the store that had nothing to do with food at all.
This season had its hard days too.. very long hours, unpredictable weather, a lot of moving pieces behind the scenes that most people never saw. But every single time it got heavy, someone would pull up, order their usual, and remind us exactly why we started this in the first place…
To everyone at Centennial Park this season, the customers, our fellow vendors, the city staffs who made it all possible, thank you!
We came to serve food. We're leaving with something we didn't expect to find: real community, built one weekend at a time…
