Dear Friends,
for the past 6.5 years we at Heavenly Perogy have shared the comfort of Ukrainian food with love and purpose. Thank you for your continued support โ it has meant so much and made this next step possible.
Now, Iโm beyond excited to introduce our new project โ HOYRA.
Weโre thrilled to announce the opening of HOYRA โ a brand new Ukrainian restaurant in the heart of Bloor by the Park! After months of hard work, weโre finally ready to welcome you to a warm, vibrant space filled with honest food, heartfelt tradition, and a touch of celebration.
Our mission remains the same: to celebrate Ukrainian culture through food, hospitality, and community โ with even more room to grow, connect, and dream.
This project is deeply personal. I dedicate it to my family โ to my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, who passed down their knowledge, language, traditions, and love for life. Everything they gave us lives on in this restaurant โ in every dish, every gesture, every detail.
I also dedicate HOYRA to all Ukrainians defending their land today. Their courage inspires us. Their spirit is at the heart of what we do.
I say Hoyra! to our brothers and sisters in arms,
and to every proud Ukrainian.
We move forward โ boldly, with love โ
whether in work or in battle.
Because freedom, dignity, and respect
belong to those who never stop moving forward.
Hoyra! โจ

What does โHoyraโ mean?
Hoyra (ะะพะนัะฐ) is a spirited Ukrainian shout โ
full of joy, passion, and fire.
Itโs what people yell in the middle of a vibrant song or dance โ
a burst of celebration, unity, and soul.
To us, HOYRA is the power and warmth of the Ukrainian heart.
And thatโs what we hope to bring to your table โ every time.

With love and faith,
Tetyana Matkivska
