When the Eighties had arrived, Toronto was ready with a brand new radio station. It was built by an inspired team brought together by David Marsden. "It was wonderful and magical!!!"

NYTheSpirit.com continues the auditory atmosphere that was the soundtrack of our lives all through the 80’s. It was a time when once again a new music experience brought people together. A t
ime we would carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. If you lived it, we will help you live it again. If you missed it the first time, step up - open your ears and let in the sound. NYTheSpirit.com showcases the distinctive quality of all the amazing music we remember. We deliver an audio stream we hope, will permit you to dream, to imagine the world as we know it and to see things differently through music. Music - that connects. Music – that brings people together. NYTheSpirit.com is about a great experience. As you listen you’ll find a dynamic mix that is not available anywhere else. It has ALWAYS been about the music. We recognize that music is subjective. In fact that’s the greatest attraction of most entertainment. The world of music is like a great buffet where you get to choose what you want. We hope you and your friends will choose NYTheSpirit.com. "I will never forget listening to Saga's 'It's Time' and the freedom that music gave me to dream beyond the static of conformity, insanity and stupidity... to see hope!"

David Marsden, one of our team, created an extremely potent mix of music and personalities during the decade. You may remember some names from that amazing radio station….Pete and Geets, Jim Reid, James Scott, The Live Earl Jive and Beverly Hills, Chris Sheppard, Lee Carter, Ron Bruchal, Ivar Hamilton and so many more. It was a wonderful time for music, the artists who made it, and the legions of music fans all coming together making a statement. There was a new and astonishing variety to the eighties music. Building a new chapter, it did not reject the many previous decades, but rather chose to find a new path. We continue that journey with NYTheSpirit.com.
