Hilda Jaimes and Karina Sanchez are the mother/daughter duo behind the .ca booth at . They also happen to be amazing neighbours of mine 🥰. Hailing from the Michoacán/Jalisco region of Mexico, they make some of the tastiest, most authentic Mexican food in Toronto. All based on family recipes passed down generation to generation.
That said, I'm suuuuuuuper excited to announce that we've partnered together to bring y'all some of that yummy food as a poutine topping. So for a limited time, we have a Lamb Birria poutine on offer!!! 🤤🥹🤩
It starts with a lamb leg that's marinated for 36 hours in a secret marinade made of toasted spices and.....well it's a secret 🤫😉. It's then steamed to preserve the texture of the meat and mellow the taste of the lamb. Once cooked, salt is and the resulting consommé are added l. And voilà, delicious birria!
