Boom! A quick way to recreate our “Gusto” at home with some changes. Fun fact about Gusto:
Aside from its undeniable popularity amongst you guys (about 3000 boxes a week!), This was the box that made us pivot and gave us a clear idea of what we wanted Crave to be.
Even before Gusto, we would always draw flavour inspirations from our travels. All the interesting things we had tried and the flavours that had become our favourites. Those were what we would describe to our chefs when designing a box.
But since none of our boxes are dishes from other cuisines, we didn’t think that our guests are associating our boxes with cuisines. Until Gusto…Somehow a lot of our regulars kept forgetting the name and referring to it as the “Mexican box”. We had not advertised anywhere about the origin of the box but the Chipotle crema mixed with beans and jicama was taking everyone there!
That’s when we found out what a strong role flavours play in associating with a place…a moment…a memory. We adjusted our menu to reflect our travels and yours. And that’s how we started sharing our memories with you. One box at a time.
