Cari Amici, Dear friends,

After much thought and reflection, we have decided to close The Vegitaliano as we or I will be retiring.

It has been an amazing adventure, 5 years long at our current location but much longer in actual fact. When we opened the first Italian vegan restaurant in the GTA and in particular Vaughan we knew we would be facing a tough road. In actual fact, we were embraced immediately by the vegan community and later even a good number of the non vegan community everywhere!
You came from throughout Southern Ontario to frequent The Vegitaliano. You have continued to support us, and for that, we are Blessed and forever grateful!
It has been our pleasure and honor to cook for you, your families and friends, for your special occasions and events.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
This is not Goodbye, but Arrivederci, see you around.

It was a true honour for my family and I to have met an inspiring vegan award winning book author at The VegItaliano. Jim Gurtner, a 30 year vegan, who’s book specializes in how-to methods in building a strong, healthy muscular body on a plant based diet. Jim has inspired many to understand that just because one is vegan doesn’t mean they can’t stay in a strong physical state. Jim also brought his young talented daughter Jennifer who is also an inspiring vegan chef. They have travelled to Canada from Atlanta Georgia, U.S.A.
We wanted to congratulate Jim, on his strong success on his inspiring book and to thank him and his daughter for coming to The VegItaliano.
