Two parents listening to the heart transplanted from their 23-year-old son, who overdosed on opioids. 😢🤗💜😢

♡Michael and Barbara Shetterly of Essex listen to their son Matthew's heartbeat inside Erv Basdon, who received their son's heart and liver. They met Basdon at the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland. The Shetterlys lost their youngest son, Matthew in 2014, to a he**in overdose when he was 23, but have the comfort of knowing his organs have enabled others to live.♡
