Dzo Viet Eatery Modern Vietnamese Cuisine Dzô, means “to cheers! To welcome in!”, which is where we take our inspiration from as you nhậu.

To the Vietnamese people, when family and friends gather, they do not simply just eat or drink, they “nhậu!”

Nhậu is the culture of coming together, albeit as friends or as strangers, to release oneself of their daily burdens, and to revel in the quaintness of life through communal imbibing and sharing of amazing street food! To experience nhậu culture is to enjoy the feeling of freedom at a loud

, lively eatery where one can stay as long as they like, drink and eat as they please, to sing, to laugh, to chant MỘT – HAI – BA– DZÔ! David and Jackson, as avid travelers around Vietnam have experienced first-hand the true essence of nhậu culture and we want to bring this blissful feeling to Toronto. We want to share with Torontonians the experience one gets when they nhậu while enjoying wonderful, modernized Vietnamese street food and regional dishes. Our menu highlights revamped dishes based on traditional recipes that have been passed along through the generations. We take classic recipes and techniques from David’s late mother, Chef D. Luong (AKA “Mama 9”), combined with vibrant herbs and spices in a contemporary atmosphere located in the heart of Toronto, across from the Art Gallery of Ontario. We want to share with Toronto that there is more to Vietnamese cuisine than just “Pho”!
