In many ways, this photo sums up my 2021. I made a LOT of dough. Probably 400 pizzas worth. After ten years of making pizza, I had given up on it. I lost my way and was making worse pizza by trying to make it more. So I stopped. But one late night scrolling on YouTube, I found and I decided to try his recipe. To say it changed everything I thought I knew is an understatement. A few short obsessed months later, I was selling pizza outta my backyard that many people were calling the best they had ever had. It aligned with what I thought of my Neapolitan pizzas so the affirmation informed me that I wasn’t just inflating my pizza ego. I was doing something right.

Well little did I know that my fascination of and ability with dough would spread to exploring other styles of pizza and bread. Today, making dough is one of my favourite things in the world to do. Each pizza (that cooperates) I make makes me happy. I don’t half ass a single one. I strive to make each one ‘the best’.

I’m very excited to take my pizza concern forward in 2022, hopefully with many popups and perhaps even a recurring spot somewhere.

In closing, I want to tip my hat to folks who helped on this journey. First of all, my partner in pizza for life, . Without being asked, she dove headfirst into this thing. If you bought a pie from us, she was the smile at front of house. Literally. As well, nudges, education and support came from good folks like , , , , , , as well as all the friends, family and neighbours who graciously ate my pizza. I hope to see you all happy and healthy in 2022. Xoxo. Pizza Dad
