Toronto takes its patties seriously, and so do we!

We’re excited to share that Chef & Owner Lonie Murdock will join an expert judging panel with Streets of Toronto and the TTC to help crown Toronto’s best Jamaican beef patty.

On September 21 at Summerhill Station, Lonie will join Chef Dadrian Coke of Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen, Toronto creator Fred B.K. and a TTC representative for a live blind taste test of the city’s finalists.

Today, on June 17th the teams of Miss Likklemore’s and Isla Restaurant celebrate our fiercest leader! Happy Birthday to Chef & Owner Lonie Murdock, the woman who inspires us every single day in and out of service.

Chef Lonie has earned recognition in The Toronto Star, Washingtonian, The Washington Post and represents ISLA as a RAMMY new restaurant of the year finalist. She has spent her hospitality career, breaking barriers, creating opportunities and making history for Caribbean inspired cuisine.
