Northern Ontario is burning.

Several communities, many of them First Nations, have been forced to evacuate, some for the second time this season.

It's a harsh reminder that climate change isn't abstract. It's real and it's happening now.

As always, we'll keep doing our part to make plant-based, zero-waste choices easy for the people who want them. But the climate catastrophe can't be prevented with individual action alone.

We need bold action from our leaders and governments, to enact real policy that reduces emissions, holds polluters accountable, and prepares us for the consequences that are already on their way.

What is the best way to prepare veggies and why is it grilled?

When the days are hot, and the veggies are in season, it doesn't matter if you're clearing out the fridge, or preparing the spicy veg and chickpea mash on the menu next week, grilling is great. It brings out the natural sweetness, adds a little char and cooks them quick enough to preserve some texture.

Besides, in 6 months it's going to be blizzarding. Let's get outside while we can!

Part 1 - a salad so nice, they named it Nicoise. 😅

Enjoy our vegan take on the classic Nicoise salad! Crisp lettuce topped with tender new potatoes and green beans, briny olives, fresh cherry tomatoes, crunchy cucumber, spicy radishes, slightly smashed chickpeas, parsley and a lemon dijon vinaigrette to tie it all together.

It's a celebration of local seasonal produce, packed with 22 g of fibre (!!), 21 g of protein and ready in 20 mins. What's not to love?!

Tropical Cauliflower Tacos are back!

These have cracked Kieran's top-5-Crisper-recipes-of-all-time more than once (& that's saying something!).

Cauliflower provides a crunchy, meaty bite and the pineapple salsa adds a bit of sweetness. With a little bit of mild hot sauce infused with maple syrup, you have a perfect mix of sweet and spicy all ready in 25 mins or less.
