Red velvet cake request ❤️

Traditionally , red velvet cake was only a subtle reddish-brown or mahogany color, not the bright, vibrant red seen today.
And that’s how I’ve made this one!
I also made it with extra virgin olive oil,
and of course, it’s got to have that classic cream cheese frosting 🤤

This cake was part of a baby shower, woodland themed.
I made some little mushrooms and decorated it with some fresh greenery from my garden.

This was my daughter’s birthday request!
Grilled Octopus 🐙 ( just like we ate it Greece)

I often get a lot of complaints from my girls.
“Mom! you love your customers more than us!”😂
Truth is, cooking specific requests for family is often not as easy or relaxing for professional chefs as people might think.

I’m pretty sure she knew I loved her after this!

And I do love you guys too!!!❤️🧑‍🍳
