Due to the recent closure of Trailsend Farmers Market…
we will remain closed to the public until the Thames Centre Fire Marshal is satisfied that the necessary building requirements and regulations have been met.
We have yet to be given an exact timeframe for when that will be.
We realize the market most certainly has its quirks and has gone unkept. To be frank, though, it was the most logical and viable option for us at the time. Everyone has to start somewhere. It was a decision we made that we still stand behind.
The unfortunate part is we can only do so much as a vendor. Some things are just simply out of our control.
The market has become something so unexpected to us.
It started out as a spot to set up shop and grow our business. But then we quickly became members of a very small, hardworking community who, just like us, have much larger aspirations in mind.
We’ve made so many friends here that now feel like family. We’ve become a ritual in people’s lives and our pasta has become a staple in homes around the area. What we have created is so special to us. We refuse to let a bump in the road slow us down.
We’ve poured so much thought, love, and time into building our shop. It has been such a highlight for us, and we’re so grateful we’ve had the opportunity.
Honestly, the idea of leaving it all behind is devastating. We are hopeful that this situation may be the catalyst that sparks a change.
However, we are currently seeking out short-term as well as potential long-term solutions.
Please allow us some time to navigate through this. We do not want to rush into anything. We’re digging deep to determine a plan. There are just a lot of moving parts that must work in unison.
We know whatever happens may be a potential step backward from our goal. But we will press on and find a solution that makes sense for us and, most importantly, you.
Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of our hearts for all the kindness and understanding. All the messages have been overwhelming.
