Hi I’m Marc Girard and I’m the owner/operator of The Toasted Sandwich.
I’ve lived in the Windsor area my entire life and am a huge fan of what we have in the culinary/restaurant scene locally. My passion for cooking (and sandwiches in particular) arose during that awful covid lockdown time when I couldn’t go out anywhere but wanted to eat good food.
So experiments in the kitchen began to happen and people began to notice when I started sharing. After being asked enough to share my creations, I started The Toasted Sandwich in early 2023 as a sandwich delivery service, doing sandwich days where I would cook, assemble and deliver sandwiches to people’s doors.
After a reset, I pivoted to how I operate today. I do sandwich days at my full-time job at the Windsor Assembly Plant and take on random catering jobs as requests come in.
What does the future hold for TTS and myself? Who knows but I’m looking forward to what could come next, whether that’s popping up at festival or market, a food truck or a store front. I’m always excited to see where this journey will take and I’m happy to have you following along on this journey!

This Saturday, I had the honour of doing some catering for my cousin and her wedding party!
It means so much to me to share my food passion with people about.
Congrats to Katie and Mitch on their beautiful day! Thank you for letting me be a part of it❤️

This wedding party got a platter of breakfast sliders with 12 bacon, egg and cheddar, 12 sausage, egg and cheddar and 12 ham, egg and Swiss. Served with 12 hashbrowns.

So I’ve been making a shift in my sandwich business journey of late!
After taking a break from the deliveries for a bit, I’ve taken my venture into my full-time work place once a month.
So far, it’s been a successful endeavour with a menu of Toasted Italians and a rotating special sandwich of the month, with my delicious chips as a side. I’ve had days with orders getting into the 50s and 60s 👀👀👀
So for now, this will be my business and I’ll keep it that way!
Despite the delivery side not being in my future, I’m appreciative of everyone who’s supported me in the past but I’m also always available to cater any event you have! Just send me a DM and we can talk sandwiches and pricing ❤️❤️❤️

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to take some time to touch base with anyone wondering where my sandwiches and I have been.
I’ve definitely been busy lately! This fall and winter, I’m part of a AAA hockey coaching staff and this exciting experience has taken up a lot of my extra time.
But this off from The Toasted Sandwich hasn’t been all for nothing! I’m still in my kitchen, experimenting and working on things for my menu and am looking at a new and improved menu coming in 2024!
If you have any suggestions on something you’d like to see, feel free to DM me.
Please be patient as I make some exciting new changes.
