Takla Trading Post is back to regular operating hours: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time for the Jacques/Parent family.

A heartfelt thank you to our staff for showing up, working hard, and keeping things moving. Taking on unfamiliar responsibilities, especially mail services, while managing several demands at once can be overwhelming especially when it's not a duty you do continuously. We appreciate the effort, care, and dedication each of you brought to your work.

We also want to thank the community for extending kindness and understanding to our team. In any workplace, learning new duties and working through unexpected challenges takes time, and mistakes can happen despite everyone’s best efforts. Your patience gives our staff the opportunity to learn, address concerns, and continue serving you with care.

Thank you to everyone who helped us through this time. We are grateful for our staff and our community.

We would like to remind everyone that bullying, harassment, intimidation, or disrespectful behaviour toward Takla Trading Post staff WILL NOT be tolerated.

Our staff are human beings first. They have feelings, families, responsibilities, and challenges just like everyone else. They come to work each day to serve our community and do the best they can.

We understand that frustrations happen and that there may be times when you are unhappy with a situation or decision. We are always willing to listen to concerns and work toward a solution. However, there is a difference between expressing a concern and taking your frustration out on an employee.

Please speak to our staff with the same kindness and respect that you would want for yourself or someone you care about.

When situations cross the line into bullying, harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour, they will be documented and reported when necessary.

We appreciate the many people in our community who continue to treat our team with kindness and respect.

Our staff are here to help. They are also human, and they deserve to be treated that way. ❤️
