🎉 We turned ONE this week! 🎉

It’s hard to believe that one year has already passed since we opened the window at The Saltwater Social Raw Bar.

What started as an idea has grown into something we could only have dreamed of. We’ve had the privilege of serving locals, welcoming visitors from around the world, partnering with incredible businesses, growing our team and sharing our passion for fresh seafood with this amazing community.

To everyone who has supported us over the past year, whether you’ve stopped by once or have become one of our regulars—thank you ❤️. Your support has meant everything to our family and our small business.

A memorable evening at Woodroad.

Last month, we had the pleasure of creating a private dining experience inspired by the tradition of gathering around the table. In partnership with Cape Concierge, we crafted a custom menu featuring the very best local ingredients, served family style to encourage sharing, conversation, and connection-just like a Cape Breton kitchen party or Sunday supper.

From freshly shucked oysters and local seafood to seasonal ingredients sourced close to home, every dish celebrated the flavours and traditions that make Cape Breton so special.

If you haven’t experienced it yet, you must go. They offer an incredible tasting menu, in a beautiful, intimate setting that feels as though you’ve stepped into someone’s home for dinner. A Saltwater Social favourite. Tender North Atlantic shrimp tossed in our house-made dressing with fresh herbs, crisp and bright citrus notes, served open-faced on toasted artisan bread. Finished with seasonal garnishes and edible flowers for a dish that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
