At Afghan Kitchen, our saffron tea pot is more than just tea — it’s a tradition passed through generations of Afghan hospitality.
Made with rare saffron threads sourced from Afghanistan, this tea carries the aroma and history of the ancient Silk Road, where saffron was once treasured more than gold. In Afghan homes, serving saffron tea is a symbol of warmth, respect, and gathering around the table with family and guests.

Slowly steeped to bring out its deep floral aroma and golden colour, every pot is meant to be shared.

While we didn’t take the award home, she will always be our greatest pride, our foundation, and our why ❤️

In our home, dinner never hit the table without chutney.
Rice, kebab, qorma — and always something on the side with heat.

Growing up, our fridge wasn’t just stocked… it was lined with jars.
Green herb chutney for freshness.
Red chili for fire.
Golden turmeric for warmth.
Sweet-spicy for balance.

Mantu— often sold at markets or busy streets back home. The history of these delicious dumplings go way back when horseman would carry frozen mantu whilst traveling and boil them in pots over campfire.

Mum would make trays of these for special occasions and large gathering…Now you can enjoy them here at Afghan Kitchen. beef mixed with onions and many spices, all wrapped in a thin dough, steamed to perfection. Have you tried them yet?
