Spring has finally sprung, and Bee and I couldn't be happier! 🌷🐾 After a long wait, we spotted our first blooms and buzzing bumblebees this morning! 🌼🐝 To protect our precious pollinators, I ordered some yellow caution tape to keep the lawn mowers away from our dandelions. ⚠️ Do you think it’ll do the trick? Let’s make sure our pollinators have all the food they need! 🌿

Say hello to the handsome Orange Belted Bumblebee! 🐝✨ These important pollinators thrive in North America and need our help. This spring, skip the lawn mower and leave those fallen leaves! 🍂 They’re crucial for insulating queen bees as they hibernate. 👑 The leaves act as a blanket providing essential warmth for hibernating queens and a habitat for native bees. 🐝🍂
⭐️ Delay cleaning up or mulching until temperatures are consistently above 10℉ (50°C) which is usually in late April or May, to ensure the queens have emerged. If you must tidy up, consider raking leaves into flower beds or making a habitat pile. Every little effort counts in supporting our buzzing buddies! 🐝🐞🦋
