👋 Meet Edgar!

Originally from Brazil, cooking has taken Edgar to some incredible places. Over the past few years, he's worked in kitchens across Brazil, Ireland, on cruise ships, and now here in Canada, picking up new cuisines, techniques, and cultures along the way.

Edgar joined the Quarterdeck team in August 2024 as a Line Cook and has recently earned a promotion to Junior Sous Chef. He loves working with fresh local seafood, creating memorable dishes, and being part of an amazing team that makes every guest's experience special.

His favourite dish on the current menu? The Bavette Steak 🥩

When he's not in the kitchen, you'll likely find Edgar enjoying the beautiful coastal views of Nova Scotia while training for his next half marathon. 🏃‍♂️🌊

Meet our guests, Pam and Will, who travelled 5,555 km from San Diego, California to spend a few days with us in Summerville Centre, Nova Scotia! 🌎✨

Their first visit to The Quarterdeck Resort was 11 years ago, when they stayed for a single night in one of our Two-Bedroom Villas. This time, they decided for two nights to enjoy a bit more of the South Shore experience 🌊

As avid travellers, they've now visited 8 out of Canada's 10 provinces, and we're honoured to be a stop on their journey once again.

One of the highlights of their return visit was seeing how much our Two-Bedroom Villas have evolved over the past 11 years, with upgrades and renovations that have transformed the guest experience while keeping the same coastal charm.

Take Exit 21 toward Summerville Centre, Nova Scotia. At the stop sign, turn left and continue for approximately 3 minutes. Turn left at the Office sign to enter the hillside area. The Office is the first building on your left, park there to check in at the Front Desk.
