The Quarterdeck Resort is an intimate oceanfront hideaway you dream about but rarely find. Situated on the spectacular white sands of Summerville Beach in Nova Scotia. Our resort is pet friendly and wheelchair accessible. We invite guests to use the QD Rec Center which holds an indoor pool & sauna, fitness room, a lounge and an indoor theater.

*Coming soon to our resort is an outdoor pool!!*

We offer an on-site licsensed restaurant called The Grill. Here you'll find sumptuous local seafood dishes, handcrafted sandwiches, decadent desserts and full size plates that are sure to satisfy every palate.

Meet Kylie & Mason! 👋💙

Kylie joined our Housekeeping team in June 2024 after moving from Ontario to Liverpool in 2009. She keeps busy cleaning guests areas such as The Grill, Recreation Centre and Fitness Room, helping with the outdoor pool in the summer, and making sure our housekeeping team has fresh laundry and everything they need.

Kylie says she thrives in the chaos of housekeeping 😅 and loves staying busy. Her coworkers describe her as reliable, and something you might not know? She’s been dying her hair blue for over 10 years — sometimes people know her by her hair before they know her name! 💙

Outside of work, Kylie loves painting, sketching, calligraphy and reading. Her kids always keep her learning and she says her biggest goal is simply to make sure they grow up to be great little humans.

Mason is from Liverpool and joined us in Summer 25' so this is his second summer on our team. He’s one of our dishwashers but also helps with food prep and with his previous maintenence experience some of the deeper cleaning around the kitchen like the floors and dishwasher.

Mason enjoys being a support for the team and helps to keep things run a little smoother when it gets busy. His coworkers would also describe him as reliable!

Something you might not know about Mason? He used to do blacksmithing as a hobby and hopes to get back into it — think medieval swords and armour! ⚔️ He’s also a big heavy metal fan, enjoys PC gaming and spending time with his kids, and hopes to write a book someday.

When Kylie and Mason are both not working, you may find them poolside, swimming with their kids, enjoying the summer days as a family. ☀️🏊‍♂️

Thanks, Kylie & Mason, for all your hard work and for being good people the team can count on. We appreciate everything you both do behind the scenes to help keep the resort running smoothly! 💙

✨ A little photo moment to capture the memories! ✨

These four ladies travelled from New Glasgow for their first stay with us, enjoying a two-bedroom beachside villa and making the most of all our resort amenities.

After an afternoon lounging by the heated outdoor pool and soaking up the sunshine, they took a quick moment for a photo in their plush robes — the perfect way to remember their ladies’ getaway! 📸

When they booked their trip back in April, they weren’t sure what the weather would have in store this week. Luckily, they’ve been treated to plenty of sunshine throughout their stay so far! ☀️

We’re so happy to be part of their getaway and hope this is a trip they’ll always remember!
