When neighbours show up for neighbours. 🩷

Since we started The Beanery Neighbour Tab, so many of you have stopped in and added to it — $5, $10, $20 and more — helping keep coffees and food on the tab for people in our community who need it.

And now Lone Tree Coffee has jumped in with another $1,000, matching the $1,000 we started the tab with. 🩷

Thank you Lone Tree, and thank you to every single person who has added to the tab. Big or small, it all goes to the same place: neighbours helping neighbours.

We’re hiring! 🩷☕️

The Beanery is adding to our crew for September + beyond.

We’re looking for people who are reliable, work hard, can handle a busy café and still manage to have some fun while doing it.

Experience is great, but attitude + work ethic matter more. Daytime and weekend availability is a big plus.

There’s going to be a moment when most of us get to go home.

For some of our neighbours, that moment is going to look very different.

We can’t fix what’s been lost. But we can feed people. So that’s what we’re going to do. 🖤

The Beanery is putting the first $1,000 on The Neighbour Tab, and when we’re back, it’ll be there for our neighbours who don’t have a home to return to because of the fire.

And because we know Summerland — we know a whole lot of you are going to want to put something on the tab too.

A coffee. Breakfast. Five bucks. Whatever.

The Beanery will start it. You can add to it. They can use it.

Neighbours feeding neighbours. That’s it. 🩷
