🔥 In Loving Memory of Josh 🔥
Dear Memphis Fire Barbeque Company Family,
We want to take a moment to honor the memory of someone very special to our restaurant. Josh, who started with us in humble beginnings and rose to become an incredible sous-chef, touched our lives in ways words can hardly describe.
In the seven years we worked side by side, Josh was not just a colleague but a dear friend. He brought a sense of calm, patience, and humor to our kitchen that was truly unmatched. His witty sense of humor and that unforgettable Cheshire Cat grin brightened even our busiest days.
But Josh was more than just a friend; he was my professional rock. He gave me the opportunity to grow, learn, and lead. His leadership skills and the respect he earned from his team were exemplary, and I became a better chef thanks to his presence.
Josh was a integral part of our Memphis Fire and our personal Popp family as well. We shared both hardships and triumphs, personal victories and defeats together as a team. Our shared love of technology, movies and food brought us both tremendous joy and hours of great conversation.
Though I was old enough to be his uncle, I mentored him like a son, and he felt like a brother to me. His absence is deeply felt, and we miss him every day.
Let's remember Josh for the incredible person he was and the mark he left on our restaurant and our lives. His memory lives on in the dishes we create and the stories we share.
