Final heat wave day. For safety we will need to close for 1 more day. Even on a day like today inside the food truck temperatures will reach 116.6 degrees. I wanted to follow up on your repeated communication to notify us of our outstanding penalty notice or parking ticket or any other words you feel we would believe. Respectfully, we know you are attempting to scam us, as well as hundreds of thousands of others.

We are not worried that the Ministry of Transportation will implement an imaginary license plate denial restriction. And no, we will not click your secure link, because it is anything but secure.

What we would recommend instead, is that you invest your time and effort into something positive in this world. Perhaps the pursuit of helping those in need, turning your current time investment from being the undesirables, who try to convince citizens to give you access to their information/identity/credit cards/bank accounts, into something positive?

Respectfully, you can do better. If you need help finding a positive outlet, we are happy to help. We look forward to you moving on…

We were sad to hear on Sunday that Stittsville lost a true gem. A passionate champion of tourism in Ottawa, as well as other parts of Canada, her work had a positive impact on the hospitality industry, including small businesses like ours.

On a personal note, Chef Reggie had the honour of building a friendship with Jen over the past number of years. Having been diagnosed with a cancer she knew would take her, she would often stop by for Scratch Box and some laughter, post-chemo. She was an amazing woman and was someone Reg looked forward to seeing.

To Jen’s family, we know the pain is intense right now. We hope that you know that while her light has been extinguished, her impact lives on. Rest easy, Jen.
