As an art & artisan store, we love to encourage creativity on a broad scale because we believe that everyone can be creative in their own way. In fact, we were created to be creative, in the likeness of our Creator! (That’s a lot of creativity!)

For me there is nothing better than spending a beautiful Sunday in the Word. I’ve been sketching the Psalms everyday for the past few months, allowing my creativity to flow in harmony with what I value the most; His Word. I sit in my favourite place with my favourite drink (HITCH + BOLER COFFEE cinnamon iced latte) and get out my favourite supplies (Royal Talens | Art Supplies large sketch book, Tombow USA monograph mechanical pencil and mono stick eraser all available in-store) and take time to renew my mind and spirit. I am always amazed and never disappointed at how God shows up to meet me in those moments and teach me about his character and goodness. I love how He speaks to everyone in a personal way, customized for our own hearts and minds to understand.

So for all you creatives out there, here is a challenge for you: Grab the Word & some art supplies, pick a book, and let your creativity flow as you read and meditate. I promise that you will grow to love and look forward to that time every day as He meets you on the pages of your sketchbook/journal/workbench… You won’t be disappointed.
