Every day at Denissoff, we meet different people, exchange energy, share ideas, and create something beautiful together. 🤍
St. John’s is filled with incredibly kind and talented people, and we’re truly happy to be here — to grow, create, and become part of this community.
The beautiful floral arrangements featured in these photos were created by NewSense Flowers NL 💐
The artwork you can see in our café was created by Alex Featch 🎨

Denissoff is not only about desserts and coffee. It’s about people, connections, creativity, and everything we create together.

Thank you to everyone who becomes part of our story. 🤍

A beautiful dessert is only what the customer sees. Professionalism starts with what they don’t see. 👩🏼‍🍳
There are a few rules in a pastry kitchen that, for me, are non-negotiable:

❌ Long nails & gel polish
❌ Rings & hand jewellery
❌ Loose hair
❌ Everyday clothes while working

Nails should be short, clean, and polish-free.

Hair should be fully tied back and secured.

Workwear should be clean and dedicated to the kitchen.
Hands and work surfaces should always be clean.

You can learn how to make a perfectly smooth cake and beautiful decorations. But true professionalism starts with hygiene, discipline, and respect for the people you’re baking for.

Never think, “It’s not the right time yet.”
Think, “Now is the time.”
Three years ago, I came to Canada with just one suitcase.
I didn’t have a perfect plan, my own business, or ideal circumstances. But I had a strong desire to work, learn, and build a new life for myself.
I tried. I made mistakes. I started over. I learned things I had never done before.
And somewhere along the way, I found myself — in pastry.
Today, I have my own cake boutique, hundreds of cakes behind me, and experience that can’t be learned from books or courses alone.
And now I’m starting another new chapter — Cake Code by Sofiia.
This page won’t be just about recipes. I want to share the entire journey — from making your first cake to creating a product people want to buy. From being afraid to start to building something of your own.
Because you don’t need to wait for the perfect moment to begin.
Maybe your time is right now. 🤍

What could be more important than emotions?
Probably nothing. 🤍

Because emotions are what stay with us the longest.
We may forget the words, the little details, or even how everything happened, but we will always remember how we felt in that moment.

Give happy moments to your friends, your family, and the people you love.

Create reasons to smile, to be surprised, to hug a little tighter, and to say, “I’ll remember this moment forever.”
Because the most precious gift isn’t a thing.

It’s a feeling that stays with you. ✨

We want to share the story of our café with you — without making everything look perfect.

Most of you know Denissoff for our cakes.
But behind the beautiful pictures, there has always been so much you haven’t seen.

Ideas that seemed brilliant… but didn’t work.
Decisions we had to change.

And things that turned out completely different from what we had imagined.
Like our beautiful black sign…

that somehow decided to glow green at night. 😅
That’s exactly why we created this page.

Here, we want to show you not only the desserts, the coffee, and the beautiful side of Denissoff, but also everything that usually stays behind the scenes.

How we come up with ideas for new desserts.
How we test them — and how they don’t always work out on the first try.

How we choose and develop our packaging.
What an ordinary day in our kitchen really looks like.
What we change in the café, what we experiment with, what we decide to let go of — and, of course, the mistakes we make along the way.

Not just the final result you see in our display.
But the whole journey behind it. 🤍

While Sofiia is making a cake, let me tell you what she’s thinking about.

You should never compare your success to someone else’s, because everyone starts from a different place.

Some people are naturally talented, while others have to put in maximum effort just to achieve the same result.

Some people build their business honestly, step by step.
Others choose the easier way — deceiving people and making money quickly.

Some people enjoy success today, while others spend years building their name, reputation, and trust.
Some people start literally from nothing.

Others already have opportunities at the beginning that may take someone else decades to achieve.

And that’s exactly why you should never compare your results to someone else’s.

Everyone has their own path.
Their own pace.
Their own starting point.

And their own struggles that nobody sees.
The most important thing is to be honest with yourself:
Do I like the person I am today?
Am I following my own path?
Am I where I’m meant to be?
Because true success isn’t about being better than someone else.
It’s about becoming the best version of yourself.
