The roast returns this Sunday. We’ve missed it too.

Here’s what’s happening at The Backyard this week, with a little something to bring you down before Thanksgiving weekend.

Monday • Half-price kids’ meals and the milkshake menu. An easy night off from cooking.

Tuesday • $5 off all burgers, half-price bottles of w**e and Darts League from 6:30 pm.

Wednesday • Trivia with Shane Fry at 7:30 pm. Gather your team and see what you remember.

Thursday • $6 local taps and Valleycliffe Euchre Club from 6 pm. Come down for a few hands and a catch-up.

Friday • $10 Dentville ginger b**r cocktails to start the weekend.

Saturday • Brunch from 11 am–2 pm and $6 Steamworks taps.

Sunday October 11 • Brunch from 11 am–2 pm, then our first roast of the season from 5 pm, with free live music from Ted Kim, 5–8 pm.

A roast dinner, a few songs and some time around the table with your people. A pretty good way to spend Thanksgiving Sunday.

October at The Backyard means live music, familiar faces and the return of Sunday roasts.

We’ve got four evenings of music lined up this month, all free and all from 5–8 pm. Come for dinner, catch up with friends and enjoy a few songs along the way.

Sunday October 4 • Ella Mathison
Ella kicks off the month with her indie folk and pop sound. A lovely accompaniment to a slow Sunday evening.

Sunday October 11 • Ted Kim
Ted brings thoughtful acoustic songwriting with influences from contemporary folk and 90s alternative rock. It’s also our first Sunday roast of the season, so come hungry. Dinner and live music feels like a pretty good way to spend Thanksgiving weekend.

Sunday October 18 • Robbie Johnson
Squamish local Robbie joins us with classic country and contemporary folk, leaning into the stories behind the songs. A little music to ease us towards the weekend.

Sunday October 25 • Lola
A Squamish-based singer-songwriter originally from France, Lola blends indie folk, relaxed acoustic sounds and a touch of soul, with originals and covers woven into the evening.

Bring a friend, settle in and make yourself at home.

Know your way around a euchre table? Or only ever played at the cottage? There’s a seat for you at The Backyard tonight.

Valleycliffe Euchre Club starts at 6:30 pm, and everyone’s welcome. Come on your own or bring a friend. We’ll help you find a table and get settled in.

A little bit of everything at The Backyard this week.

Monday brings half-price kids’ meals, the milkshake menu, and the Squamish Netball Social from 7–9 pm. Come meet the crew and some of the people getting involved.

Tuesday is $5 off all burgers, half-price bottles of w**e, and Darts League from 6:30 pm. Shane Fry is back with trivia Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

On Thursday, local taps are $6 and Valleycliffe Euchre Club starts at 6 pm. Friday’s special is $10 Dentville ginger b**r cocktails.

Brunch runs 11 am–2 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with $6 Steamworks taps on Saturday. Then Ella Matheson joins us for free live music Sunday from 5–8 pm. Settle in for dinner and stay a while.

Riverbank Roses are back at The Backyard today at 6pm for their last gig for a little while.

They’re stepping back from performing to spend some time recording, writing and working on new music, so this is your last chance to catch them live before they disappear into the studio for a bit.

As always, live music at The Backyard is free.

Come grab some dinner, settle in and make it part of your Sunday.
