This is it. Six weeks of World Cup madness comes down to one last game.

Spain vs Argentina in the World Cup Final this Sunday, July 19. Doors open at 11am with kick-off at 12pm.

We’ll be running bar service for the final, with no reservations and shared tables throughout the pub. It’s going to be a busy one, so come ready to make a little room, meet some new people and enjoy the game together.

A quick parking reminder: the lots on either side of The Backyard at Westway Plaza and Westway Village are private and vehicles may be towed. Please use The Backyard parking lot or street parking, and walk, bike or get a ride where you can.

Once we reach capacity, we won’t be able to let any more guests in. Please be patient with the team at the door and with each other inside.

The World Cup has completely taken over this little pub for the last six weeks, and honestly, it’s been pretty special. Thanks to everyone who has packed the place out, shared tables, celebrated, commiserated and made The Backyard feel like the home of football in Squamish.

England vs France for third place. One last big Saturday of World Cup football at The Backyard.

Kick-off is at 2pm this Saturday, July 18, with the game on the big screen and sound on throughout the pub.

For this one we’ll be running bar service, with no reservations and shared tables. Come ready to make a bit of room, meet your neighbours and settle in for what should be a great final weekend of the tournament.

Will Ross returns to The Backyard.

In case you missed it, which would be completely understandable with all the World Cup madness around here, we’re pretty stoked to have Will back in the pub this Sunday.

Will was one of the very first musicians to play at The Backyard back in 2024. More than that, he helped us find our feet with live music, brought other artists in to play alongside him, and helped create opportunities for a lot of local musicians who have since become regular faces around here.

He’s also a seriously good musician.

Since moving away from Squamish, we haven’t had many chances to get him back, so this one feels pretty special. Join us this Sunday from 5pm to 8pm for a one-off show before Will heads back to Ontario.

Free to attend. Come grab a table, settle in, and help us give him a proper Backyard welcome home.

Today’s England game is looking like another big one at The Backyard.

The last England game had the place absolutely packed, so we’re expecting another full house today. Come down, grab a spot, share a table where you can, and settle in for the game with sound on.

A quick parking reminder before you head our way. The lots on either side of The Backyard, at Westway Plaza and Westway Village, are private and vehicles may be towed.

Walking, biking or catching a ride is definitely your best bet if you can. Otherwise, please use The Backyard parking lot or available street parking nearby.

We’re looking forward to another proper afternoon of football in Valleycliffe. Just maybe leave the questionable parking decisions out of it.

A full week at The Backyard, with football, trivia, local taps, milkshakes and a familiar face returning to Squamish.

Monday
Kids eat half price, plus the milkshake menu for anyone who believes dessert should come with a straw.

Tuesday
France vs Spain at 12 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am.

Wednesday
England vs Argentina at 12 pm, with doors opening early at 11 am. Then Shane Fry takes over for trivia at 7:30 pm.

Thursday
Local taps are $6 all day.

Friday
Dentrville Ginger Beer cocktails are $10.

Saturday
The World Cup third-place playoff kicks off at 2 pm, with $6 Steamworks taps throughout the day.

Sunday
The World Cup Final kicks off at 12 pm. Doors open at 11 am, so come early and settle in.

Once the football is finished, Will Ross returns to Squamish and The Backyard for live music from 5 to 8 pm. It has been a while, and we are very happy to have him back in the room.

A little change of plans for this evening.

Unfortunately, JennaMae is under the weather and won’t be able to join us. We’re sending her lots of love and hoping she’s feeling better soon.

Thankfully, Marc Charron has stepped in at the last minute to keep the music going. Marc brings a mix of singer-songwriter storytelling and contemporary Canadian rock, and we’re very grateful to have him back at The Backyard.
