After absolutely no relaxing, no sunshine and definitely no ouzo… Yanni and Kiki are back and The Greek Corner is open again. 😉

And just in time for the long weekend.

The Greek Corner YYC will be closed from August 10 until September 1, 2026.

Please don't believe any rumours that Yianni and Kiki are relaxing on a beach with an ouzo in one hand and a plate of calamari in the other. That is completely false. There will be absolutely no sunshine, no naps, no delicious food, no laughter and definitely no suspicious photos involving Greek liquior. None whatsoever.

We'll be back in September with fully recharged batteries, big smiles and plenty of your favourite Greek dishes waiting for you.

Until then, Yamas and don't have too much fun without us.

Don't panic. We haven't disappeared to a tiny Greek island forever. We're just taking a little vacation to recharge our batteries, soak up some sunshine and maybe argue over who makes the best souvlaki.

The Greek Corner YYC will be closed from August 10 to September 1 while Yianni and Kiki take a well deserved break. We'll be back on September 1 with fresh energy and plenty of delicious Greek food waiting for you.

Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer and remember, Yamas.

Vacation mode is loading... but don't worry, we're still here serving up your favourite Greek dishes before we trade the kitchen for a beach chair. We've got one foot at work and the other already looking for flip flops. Stop by, grab a great meal and help us make these last few days before vacation count.

Calgary weather has commitment issues. One day we're telling you to come in and warm up. The next we're suggesting you come in and cool down. There is no in between in YYC. If you're melting your way toward lunch, escape the heat with us. The A/C is working overtime, the souvlaki is sizzling and the cold drinks are ready. We'll handle the cooling off. You handle the eating.

Went to The Greek Corner YYC and somehow ate everything on the platter. It started with “I’ll just try a little of the souvlaki” and ended with an empty plate and Yianni asking if we saved room for dessert. We did not. Honestly, this is why the Greek Platter is dangerous. You keep saying “one more bite” until there are no bites left.
