Waking with my kids the other day I really began to notice their recognition of wild edible plants. My youngest in all seriousness noted “Mommy, most people do not know that flowers can be food.” Of course I acknowledged that and said “yes, but we need to be careful of what we collect and how we use it.” I love these little exchanges.
