Anyway, it is Smiths Falls By The Rideau Market market day today as I type this. I managed to get some pies and cookies as well, but a limited amount! But don't worry, I'm at lower reach park for the next 3 Fridays in a row AND Twilight Tuesday Brockville Makers Market coming up this Tuesday!

Friday's lineup is looking good!

Cheesecakes are loaded & layered, soups are made, pies are chilling...

I will have a VERY small amount of roasted red pepper soup because i forgot to get a mass amount of red peppers at costco last week! How does one forget a main ingredient?! 🤦‍♀️

I will have plenty of cheesecake though!

One soup down, one more to go!

Working hard getting the full menu at the market this Friday! Today I made the base layers of 48 cheesecakes and the first batch of Mediterranean chickpea soup. This soup has a TON of veggies from my CSA boxes too! I love sharing the bounty of the garden 😊

Tomorrow I'm making the second soup flavour: roasted red pepper. This is one of my favourites of the summer and I can't wait to make this one! Then the remaining 3 layers to the cheesecakes, mini pie crusts and filling, and then some cookies. Phew!

It's going to be a busy few days for sure!

About yesterday

Thank you to Aflori Acres for hosting such an incredible grand opening yesterday!

The sun was out with a beautiful breeze, a great lineup of artisan vendors, fun lawn games for kids and adults, and fresh lavender picks all around 💜

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this day so special! Stay tuned for more events there in the future 🌿

Come down to Aflori Acres and explore a brand new lavender field just west of the Brockville speedway.

The weather is supposed to be gorgeous tomorrow, so why not make it a day trip? Check out the scenary, take some cute pics, and snag some wholesome handmade goods 💜

I will never forget the day Emily came to my booth with some friends to try this cheesecake. She bought a slice, shared a spoonful with each of them, and within seconds they got all giddy and it was like a mini celebration! Oh what I would give to have recorded that moment! 😄

If so then you saw these Summerween cookies! 🧟‍♀️💚🍄

I've always wanted to do summerween theme and when my sister in law came through, I was beyond excited!!

Featuring Frankenstein and magic mushrooms. All colouring used in these cookies are from natural food powders! 🎨🖌️ Although the green needs some work lol.

So honest question, should summerween be a yearly thing around here? A little bit gothy, a little bit summery? Let me know and maybe it'll happen! 🪄✨
