Coffee Special of the Week: Rwanda
This week, we’re pouring something special! Our featured coffee comes from Rwanda, a small country in Central Africa with a big story behind its coffee. 🤎
Coffee has played an important role in rebuilding communities and supporting local livelihoods, and today, Rwandan coffee is loved around the world for its quality and care.
Our beans come from the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative, where the coffee cherries are carefully sorted, dried, and monitored to bring out their best flavour. 🌱

This is Bugwood Coffee through and through. ☕️
Our house espresso is a blend we’ve put a lot of love into, bringing together coffees from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Sumatra. We wanted something bright and lively, with a touch of sweetness and that smooth, buttery finish that makes a good espresso so satisfying.
It’s our go-to, our daily cup, and a little piece of Bugwood we’re proud to share with you.

Have you had one of our Hedgehog Lattes or steamers yet???

A sweet treat in a cup made with your choice of milk that's steamed to perfection, and sweetened with our house made chocolate and hazelnut syrups.

For the coffee drinker, you can choose between our Sweet Morning Espresso Blend, and our Night Shift Decaf.

Sweet Morning is a beautifully balanced espresso that is creamy and chocolatey, well crafted using a mix of Brazilian, Ethiopian and Sumatran beans.

Night Shift is a Brazilian bean that has gone through the Swiss Water decaffeination process. Leaving a full bodied decaf espresso shot with notes of toasted marshmallow and chocolate.

This weekend our brew feature is our Ethiopian Washed Process.

What is a washed process you might ask?

Excellent question!

Once the coffee cherry is harvested it is depulped meaning the fruit layers are completely removed leaving just the seed (coffee bean). The seed is then fermented in tanks of water to remove the mucilage (a pectin, sugary layer coating on the seed) leaving a fully washed seed. Those seeds are then dried on raised beds before being shipped to us to get roasted .

The Washed process creates a bright, and clean taste. A fast and light roast with notes of canned peaches, chamomile, rose and chocolate ❤️
