Burnie Glacier Chalet

Burnie Glacier Chalet Another season has come and gone. It's been my 22nd at Burnie, and I still love it and like to share it.

Ski mountaineering in northern B.C.’s backcountry means magnificent ascents over intricate glaciers, deep powder, undiscovered tree runs, and lots of vertical – 1,700 metres / 6,000 ft. We also climb big peaks: Mount Logan (5959 m) in the Yukon's Kluane National Park is Canada's highest. And we trek the volcanic plateaux of Mount Edziza, or the magnificent Donjek Route. Bear Mountaineering’s ACMG/

UIAGM certified Mountain Guide will make a daily avalanche forecast and select the best—and safest – skiing through spectacular and stimulating terrain.
