There’s an election coming up, and because we’re all about community, connection and keeping people informed, I wanted to bring it up here at Raven.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, residents of CSRD Electoral Area F — the North Shuswap — will be voting for one Electoral Area Director.

The three candidates currently on the ballot are:

JOHN BOLT
MITCH CAMPSALL
SHAWN SMITH

This position represents Area F on the Columbia Shuswap Regional District Board for a four-year term.

And whether you’re a longtime local, a newer resident, or someone who calls the North Shuswap home seasonally…

THIS MATTERS.

We’re not here to tell you who to vote for.

We ARE here to encourage everyone to GET INFORMED.

🐟 THE 2026 ADAMS RIVER SOCKEYE SALMON RUN.

2026 is a dominant run year, with large numbers of sockeye expected to return to the Adams River to spawn. It’s one of those incredible natural events that you really have to see for yourself. (Official Shuswap Tourism Website)
