Thursday Men’s Golf Windup on Sunday, September 20th had 24 participants. Players were grouped in 3-men teams, with two teams on each hole.

On the front nine, closest to the pin on #6 was Reno and longest drive on #1 was Justin.

On the back nine, loonie pots were won on holes 5,6 and 8. Barry was the winner on numbers 6 and 8 and Josh won on #5.

The winning team consisted of Barry, Justin and Willie, with an impressive score of 5 under par for a total of 63! With the scoring system used, that gave their team 92 points. The second place team was Louie, Keith and Rory who came in at 3 under with a score of 65, or 88 points. In third place, the team was made up of Chris, Josh and Adamik at -1 with 67 or 86 points.

Louie was recognized for winning the longest drive most frequently throughout the season - great work, Louie! Tysne also received a prize for reaching closest to the pin on #6 the most times - way to go, Tysne!

Thank you to Chris and his staff for the delicious steak dinner served. We would also like to recognize all of the staff members that looked after us on Thursday nights all season - thank you.

We would like to recognize the participants in this years’ Men’s Night - what a fantastic group of guys!

As announced on Sunday evening, I will be stepping away from my role in Sandy Lake Men’s Golf Night. It has been my honour and pleasure to be involved with all the golfers throughout these three years. Men’s Night is being left in the very capable hands of the other two committee members, Jeff and Justin.

Thank you/Miigwetch
