Sandy Lake Golf Course Men’s Night on Thursday, August 27, 2026 had 16 participants which made 8 two-man teams .

The winning team tonight, with a score of 33, was Rory and Tysne - congratulations on the win!!

Longest drive on #1 was made by Louis and closest to the pin on #6 was made by Tysne. Well done, you two!!!

As many of you are aware, August 27 was the official end of men’s night for this season. In the coming weeks, the golf course is changing their hours from 10 am to 6 pm.

The men’s night committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants that played this season. It was a great season with a lot of exciting golf, along with the enjoyment of spending special times with fellow golfers.

We would also like to recognize and thank, the staff that worked on Thursday evenings and supported us through this season.

The wind up for men’s night will be held on September 20, 2026. Additional information on the men’s night wind up will be posted in the near future.

Beautiful day for Legend’s League followed up with a great supper at the clubhouse.
Today’s winners were Geno, Erma and Al

We had a nice turnout for the Ladies League windup today. The ladies enjoyed a little tournament and get together afterward. Winning team was Janice, Susan and Shelley. Closest to the pin - Carol, longest putt - Kathy, longest drive - Erma. Congratulations ladies!

Many of our staff are students and will be leaving us soon. To show our appreciation we will be closed on Monday, August 24 at 3 for a staff appreciation event.

Our clubhouse hours starting September 7 will be
Wednesday to Sunday 10-6.

These new hours will affect league play.
Ladies’ league wind up is
August 25.
Last regular Men’s night is August 27.
Old Fox wind up is August 28th.

Sandy Lake Golf Course Men’s Night on Thursday August 20, 2026 had 30 participants which made 10 teams of three.

On the completion of regular play, we had three teams tied with the score of 32, or 2 under par. A playoff was held on hole #1. After the first playoff, one team was eliminated so the remaining teams moved to the 150 yards marker for the second playoff. The teams remained tied and the third playoff continued from the 100 yard marker.

The successful team following the playoffs consisted of Ken, Sean and Tysne. Congratulations!

Longest drive on #1 was made by Bart and closest to the pin on #6 was made by Tysne. Well done!!

Next week, the start time will be 5:30 p.m. Apologies that word of the changed start time didn’t reach all members.
