Summerfest kicked off, yesterday, with plenty of events all week until the finale on July 18th.

To celebrate the festivities, Pete's will be offering up a Big Deal Of The Day all week long, starting Monday July 13th.

Each day will feature an item (or special pricing) for ONE DAY ONLY. Once the doors close at 8PM... that deal is gone!

As a further teaser, tomorrow (Monday July 13th) we'll be introducing an all-new never-before-offered treat with special promotional pricing! What could be it? (We're not telling yet)

If you missed our big announcement at the beginning of the year, here it is again...

We know that the cost of living is going up and up and up. Groceries, gasoline, electricity... you name it. We, here at the shop, have the same issues. Delivery fees, wages, the cost of ice cream (and more) have all risen dramatically.

To help you feel a little less of the pinch, we decided to LOWER some of our prices (when other business are raising theirs). This year Child, Small & Large ice cream cones are all 2022 prices.

When ice cream became kind of a luxury, we decided to do something about it and make your dollar go a little further.

If you have a dietary restriction/allergy/intolerance Pete's might have just the thing to satisfy your craving.

If you like the cRunCH of a cone (cups are always an option), feel free to ask if we have gluten free cones in stock.

We also offer a few no-sugar-added flavours that was also lactose free. They do change, regularly, so please ask what we have on hand. Don't sleep on blue raspberry sorbet, either, as a lactose-free option.

Milkshakes can be made lactose-free, as well. Just ask while ordering.

You could even have a sundae (or banana split!) made with lactose-free vanilla and fruit-based toppings... no whipped cream though.

There are also slushies & jumbo freezies available.

While it's impossible to cater to everyone, we do our best to have options for the majority of folks.

Yes folks, if you're out on a three-hour tour, a day at the beach or any ol' occasion howzabout landing yourself our Super Jumbo Cone?

In this big, exclusive, tumbler we load it up with 10 scoops of hard-serve ice cream. Any flavour(s) you want! Want 10 scoops of your favourite flavour? No problem. Want a scoop of your 10 favourite flavours? Also no problem!

Each cup comes with a straw and is adorned with a Pete's Dairy Bar sticker AND you get to keep the lot! No refills, obviously, but great for a refreshing drink later or a lovely decoration for your curio cabinet. 🍦🤣

The price is $20 (tax included)... just $2 per scoop!

If you're a local, you know. If you're not, however, dulse is a unique Maritime delicacy. Eat it straight from the bag. Chop it up and add to seafood-based soups or stews. Chock full of iron, protein, vitamins and other minerals it's a delicious low-cal snack.

Happy Birthday!

Ok so... maaaybe it's not your birthday but why let that stop you from having a birthday party? A Birthday Party Dipped Cone, that is!

It's a cone of our superb soft ice cream plunged into a vanilla-flavoured dip with speckles of "funfetti" floating about. It has a fun look and the hard shell gives you a little cronch before getting to the delicious ice cream inside.

If you missed our earlier announcement, let us remind you of our newest item to hit the menu... the Jr Flurry

If you found our huge 16oz flurries to be a bit too intimidating, perhaps the Jr Flurry lands in your goldilocks zone being just right.

It's 100% the same as our regular-sized flurry. You have your soft ice cream, your choice of topping (around 10 to choose from) and it all gets whirled round and round. The only difference is the smaller size, served in one of our large ice cream cups.

Hurry on in because today (July 5th, 2026) is your last chance to get one at the special introductory price of $7.00 (tax included) in human monies.

We've been in a string of cookers so we VERY much hope everyone has been doing their best to keep cool.

A little reminder, from us, to stay hydrated. That's the big one.

If you don't have to be outside... DON'T. Stay where it's cool. If you do have to be out, use sunscreen, loose clothing and floppy hats.

If you have older or vulnerable neighbours, please be sure to check in on them and make sure they're ok.

And don't for get your four-footed friends! Gotta have shade & water for them too.

Of course, you can cool off with a treat from us. We do ask, however, that you not keep the doors to the shop open for long periods of time. The loss of cool air is hard on the machines AND especially our hard-working staff. We have a portable A/C unit running, for them, and we ask that you not touch or block it.

It's another sunny, warm day. Be safe out there and, if you feel like it, pop by for a quick cool down :)
