Good Morning our dear friends, clients and wonderful customers.

When we originally opened it was when ‘Alberta was opening for business’ and everyone enjoyed summer. But now we’ve come full circle with a semi-voluntary shut down.

On the one hand we move to 1/3 capacity with no indoor seating (which is hard in cooler months) or ask our young staff to start carding individuals (since we had some intense run ins just because of asking customers to wear a mask we thought this might not be a fair ask to staff)

With that being said we anticipate that things will get worse before they get better.

This has lead us to the difficult decision to close for the season. We just wanted to open up a business that would work well in a great community, and it has. But planning has already begun for a fresh and improved space that’s all our own. We will have some great announcements coming after we take some time to recover and spend time with our families.

As part of our effort to serve our customers during these trying times we’ve launched delivery exclusively through Skip The Dish. As We’re sure you know it’s not always easy running an ice cream shop in the winter, during COVID, with restrictions. Now you can have your favourite pint delivered directly to your home. A great surprise dessert for any night. Try a pint or 4. The majority of our offerings via Skip will be all Housemade favourites with an exception or two. Available for delivery from 1-8pm everyday. Happiness, delivered.

We wholeheartedly believe change starts with literacy. With exploring the magic of the written word. The ability to travel a thousand times without having left your home.

When we heard our friends @ Ron Hodgson and Pearson’s Independent Grocer wanted to collect books, have a book fair AND give the proceeds to charity we jumped at the chance to participate. When we found out Bite Me Healthy Meal Prep was involved we started drooling over their protein donuts and lost our train of thought..

When Kofi Annan said ‘Literacy is a bridge from Misery to Hope’ it made so much sense then, and even more in the times we are now. It brings light, hope, and is one of the greatest gifts that can be given.

We have a box in our store to collect gently used books (or 100 year old books if you are so inclined). We will collect them until December 6th and have a book sale at Ron Hodgson Chev’s Hustle and Bustle Market on December 11 and 12 in their showroom. All books will be sold for $2 and is a great way to exchange and enhance your own collection as well. All funds will be donated to a local charity.
