April 2, 2022.

Today around around 7pm we experienced a dine and dasher. We do not tolerate this kind of behaviour and do not want other businesses to suffer the same problem.

A police report has been filed and all footages and photos have been sent to them for further investigation. This is definitely a planned crime, as we heard their friend yell, "get on the car!" as he was fleeing with his friends in a car. All his friends were completely aware he did not pay and helped him flee the scene.

Long story short, we want to bring awareness to our fellow friends and people in the industry that there are people out there who want to take advantage of small businesses. We strongly feel this is not an acceptable behavior and want others to stay on alert if this man appears where you work. There is a high possibility he will do this again. Call us if you know more information.

The provincial government announced masks will once again be mandatory in all indoor public spaces effective today (Wednesday, August 25, 2021).

Government says this is to help slow the transmission of COVID-19 as BC prepares for the 'fall and respiratory illness season.'

We are coming to you with some unfortunate news this afternoon. During yesterday's conference, Dr. Henry announced new COVID-19 restrictions:

Indoor food and drink service at all liquor and food primaries is being prohibited as of midnight yesterday.

Liquor and food primaries will be restricted to patio service, takeout, and delivery.

These new restrictions will remain in place until at least April 19, 2021.

According to Dr. Henry, in the past seven days there has been a dramatic increase in percentage of positive COVID cases and hospitalizations, significant transmission of COVID variants, and we are seeing the start of a third-wave.

We have therefore posted our temporary business hour changes and will be providing take out service only in the meantime

To ensure safety of staff and customers:

•Seating capacity will be reduced to provide adaquate spacing between tables
•Hand sanitizers will be available for all customers
•Mask will be worn by all staff
•Maximum 6 guest per a party
•Sanitization of debit terminals, seating area and menu after every use

We are still open!!

B.C. has declared a state of emergency, and Vancouver will most likely follow suit. Thus, after much deliberation, we have made the very difficult decision to reduce our in-house dining capacity to 20 persons at any given time. We feel this is the best way to move forward as health experts’ and government continues to encourage social distancing. Decreasing dine-in capacity will help to ensure there is always ample space between our diners. This will be effective as of March 19 2020 and will continue until further notice. Our staff and customers’ health, wellbeing, and concerns are always our top priority, and we hope such decisions may reflect our social responsibility in attempts to flatten the curve of COVID-19 as well.

During these challenging times, it is important to support small businesses in your community – because we need your help, now more than ever! As you may all know, we have been reluctant to offer our ramen noodles selection for takeout in the past, but we have heard you LOUD and CLEAR! We are now planning to enlarge our takeout selection to include more, if not all, ramen noodle items.

We’ll be working hard in the coming days and weeks to maintain the most stringent hygiene and sanitization standards so that our Sanpoutei Family may continue to rest assured that the food and service we provide will not fall subpar during this crucial time. As such, we would also like to note that it is strongly advised to use tap debit/credit instead of cash at this time.
