Richmond Fair Since 1844 the Fair has been an opportunity for locals to enjoy the best of their neighbour's kitchens, crops,livestock & machinery.

With the development of urban communities, the Fair is an annual reminder of where your food, (and your roots), come from. The Richmond Fair is unique in that it is by far the largest spectator event held annually within the surrounding community. It promotes agricultural awareness within the City of Ottawa, a city with the largest agricultural land base and agricultural economy in Canada. The 201

🐾 A Gentle Reminder for Our Four-Legged Friends! 🐾

We know your pups are part of the family, and we love them too! ❤️🐶 However, with all the excitement, crowds, animals and activity happening during the Fair, dogs are not permitted on the Fairgrounds.

The only exception is for registered service animals.

So, while you’re out enjoying all the fun at the Richmond Fair, please let your furry friends stay home where they can relax and wait for you to tell them all about your big day! 🐕🏡😉

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and who came out to our Richmond Fair Kids’ Craft Night, hosted by the Junior Division of Homecraft at the fair! What a fun night! 💕

It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces, as well as so many new ones. We hope everyone had a fantastic time creating, crafting, and enjoying the evening together!

🚗💥 The 2026 Richmond Fair Demolition Derby! 💥🚗

The 2026 Richmond Fair Demolition Derby is back and ready to bring the noise, the action and the crunching metal! 🔥

📅 Friday, September 18, 2026
⏰ 7:00 PM sharp
🏆 $5,050 in prize money!

FOR SPECTATORS:
Get ready to cheer on the drivers as they battle it out for bragging rights and cash prizes! With multiple classes competing, including 4 Cylinder, 6 Cylinder, 8 Cylinder, Truck and Modified, it’s sure to be an action-packed night at the Fair! 💥🚙

THINK YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPETE? 👀
Men and women are welcome to enter! Entry is $50 per vehicle, and all drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s licence. Mini vans are welcome and will compete in the 6 Cylinder Class.

📍 IMPORTANT FOR COMPETITORS:
All derby vehicles must enter the Fairgrounds through Lion’s Park, off Huntley Road, and must be towed to the grounds and pit area. Vehicles must also arrive at least one hour before the start time for inspection, and all drivers must attend the 6:30 PM drivers’ meeting. No entries will be accepted after the meeting!
The driver and one additional person receive free pit passes, while additional pit passes are $20. Pit pass sales close at 7:30 PM.

🎨 BONUS: There’s also a $50 prize for Best Painted/Appearing Vehicle!
