This was created for my son’s birthday —
playful in theme, but structured like a statement piece.

Visually it reads like three tiers,
with a floating gold separator between two layers of cake.

Sculpted texture. Controlled movement. Architectural balance.

Recreating 11 Yorkville (11YV) in cake — designed to scale and built entirely by hand.
What began as a simple celebration cake turned into one of the most technically demanding builds I’ve ever taken on: carved balcony rows, full fondant paneling, and edible isomalt railings placed one by one.

Every cake has a story that deserves to be celebrated 🤍

This one was created for a 50th anniversary — a golden milestone filled with love and resilience. As students newly arrived in Canada, they had little money, no family nearby, and English was not their first language. They fell in love and quietly married at city hall, beginning a life together from scratch.

Fifty years later, they were kind enough to share this beautiful photo with us — celebrating the life they built, surrounded by family. Their secret? Love, understanding, and compromise. Straightforward, no nonsense — and it clearly works ✨

Just look at them. The warmth, joy, and togetherness they radiate is the kind of love story that makes you hope this is what you’ll look like with your partner on your own 50th anniversary. Truly, couple goals 💛

To honour them, I designed a cake in red — a colour symbolizing luck and happiness in Asian culture — paired with gold for their golden anniversary. Fresh roses and seasonal flowers brought elegance, while palette-knife florals (with just a few piped details) added a blooming 3D effect. Touches of gold leaf gave it a timeless glow.

🍓 Strawberry Sweetheart 🍓

Delicate and sweet - just like baby Evangeline.

This 5" custom smash cake was made for her first birthday photoshoot, and it was such an honour to create something special for one of my best friends' daughters.

Inside: vanilla bean cake layered with slow-simmered strawberry compote and my signature strawberry purée buttercream - light, silky, and full of real flavour.

From blush ribbon bows and pearls, to hand-piped scallops and stringwork, this cake was the perfect touch for her special day.

Seeing her beautiful family gathered around the cake made it all mean a little extra to me. 🤗
