If you've been around Central Alberta for any time, you've either heard Jim's voice or seen his face. Jim's youthful banter and demeanor is contagious - you can't help but absorb his excitement.

He knew what he wanted the moment we aat down ti talk all of his favourite foods. Jim's talked longingly about Mrs. Mike's in Winnipeg and the memories he had like it was yesterday - a small take out burger stand that only did one thing and they did it exceptionally well - Chili Cheeseburgers and Chili Cheese Fries. If you wanted to add anything else to your burger, you had to do it on your own, on your own time.

Mrs. Mike's is long gone, but the memory still remains.

Their mission is to empower persons with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence and full community participation.
