Goodmorning to all our wonderful customers.

I can't believe that we are already on the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
Of course that means you need to make a Quesnel bakery list:
-GINGERDEAD HOUSE KITS! Always a fun activity during this holiday!
-European crusty buns oct 10th
-dinner buns oct 9th and 10th
-stuffing
-pumpkin pies
-Blackforest cake
-Thanksgiving sugar cookies
-Thanksgiving choc dipped cookies
-donuts and sooo much more.

We will be making our European crusty buns for Saturday Oct 10th . Please call the bakery to place an order or you will be disappointed when we sell out.

We will have our white dinner buns on special Friday and Saturday. Oct 9 and 10th.

Don't forget the stuffing!!!

We also have our Beautiful Thanksgiving choc dipped cookies and sugar cookies.

This is a reminder to book your cakes in advance so as not to be disappointed. Many times we are not able to accept an order with only one or two days notice due to the amount of orders already placed.

If you are wanting something extra special and unique please set up a meeting with our cake decorator, Danielle.
Call the store 250 992 9604 to place your orders. TUESDAY to Friday 7:30 to 6:00
And Saturday 8:00 to 6:00

Hello everyone! Like most businesses we are facing a labour crunch. We need staff to work in our business, both as Sales clerk, and on the Night Shift with the bakers. Therefore, I AM MAKING THIS A HELP WANTED POST! Not the normal thing we do, but we have no resumes coming in, and we are just about out of time as certain staff members move on to go back to school. 🎉CELEBRATING 50 YEARS!🎉

We’ve gathered a collection of some of our favourite memories with friends, family and staff. We wouldn’t be here without all of you and we are grateful to continue serving Quesnel. The second picture is a recreation of the first picture of Gerd and Horst around 20 years later. Horst is still trying to be the taller one 😂

50 years ago Horst and Christa began Quesnel Bakery. 50 years of countless people in the community who helped along the way and supported the business. Horst, Christa and their two boys, Gerd and Franck, came over from Germany in 1969. Horst started as a baker for Safeway in Kamloops and he didn’t even speak any English. A few years later, they moved to Quesnel and eventually bought the bakery beside Safeway and Quesnel Bakery was born. Now at 83, he is still working every morning not because he has to but because he loves to be around the people who have become his family.

Horst and Christa’s son and daughter-in-law, Gerd and Wanda, have led us for the past 15 years. The future is looking bright! Last year Ian and his family joined us from India and we are so proud to have them on our team. Not only is he a great baker but him and his family are kind and wonderful people that have become part of this community. And a special shoutout to our decorator Danielle who wears many hats (even when Gerd falls asleep). We are fortunate to have many amazing staff who have become family, both past and present.

THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!! We look forward to many more years ❤️
