With just 48 hours from the “Last Supper”, things have changed so quickly!

Kalli Giakoumakis-Bourodemos and I would like to thank our very supportive community, amazing team and the members of the golf course. We have had some very touching cards and letters, some gorgeous flowers and even a little liquid courage to get us thru!

A special shout out to the team that has been with us the longest: Cheryl Austin, Andreælizabeth Marwick, Chad Johnson, you have been with us since the sands of time, thru Covid and everything in between. You have cried with us, been there when we couldn’t and picked us up to keep going. You are a team we are blessed to have worked with!

Elton Roscoe, you joined us during Covid, and have been our Sunday saviour, you have been there for laughs and tears and learned that golf courses are just a little different at times!

Many people have asked us if it’s bittersweet, some moments have been sugary sweet and some a litttle more bitter … and after 15 years there certainly are a lot of emotions to unpack! One thing is for sure, we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s love and support!

Below are a few photos of the memories, the laughter and the tears! May the future bring happiness and well wishes to everyone and a huge thank you to everyone who helped us take apart Thalassa Restaurant!

Today has come, the “Last supper” a culmination of 15 years of events, memories and friendships.

We have been blessed, accepted and supported we raised our families here.

We are reminded by past and present day staff of all the hours and jobs we offered and the team we are blessed to have had over so many years, some for 13 and 14 years.

We raised money for charity, and a lot of it “whoop whoop “ $260,000 !

We are humbled to hear of the legacy we created : defined as - Legacy businesses have a history of operating for many years, often decades or even centuries, and may have survived various economic cycles and market disruptions. thank you for all the wonderful speeches and reminders.

Thank you for the memories for the laughs and the tears! Thank you for this communities generosity, to the members whom
Became our families and friends!

Can’t believe today finally come we look forward to welcoming everyone who was supported us over the last 15 years and a special shout out to our families we’re always having our backs!

Kalli Giakoumakis-Bourodemos we have been each other’s ride or die through this journey, and I wouldn’t have done it with anyone else!!

I wanna say a HUGE thank you to Ransom Rock & Roll Band for our amazing 80’s night!!!!

Tonight marked the last 30 days of our tenure at Thalassa Restaurant and we were so happy with the support we have received!!!

15 years is a long time to be at any one career and we couldnt be happier with the memories and the friendships we have made!

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and those who has supported us thru the years!!

We are having a party!!🎉 and yes there is will be food!!! Kalli Giakoumakis-Bourodemos and I are excited to invite everyone to our going away party at Thalassa Restaurant. Join us September 14 from 5-9 ish … for a fabulous night!! We will have a welcome cocktail, grazing table, live music and of course looking forward to sharing memories and stories!
