Are you passionate about great food and looking to build a long-term career with a friendly local team? Sheryl’s Bakery & Café in Pugwash, NS is looking for a talented cook to join our kitchen family!

⏰ The Schedule

Days: Tuesday to Saturday

Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Enjoy your evenings off!)

💰 Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Benefits: Full medical benefits available after just 6 months of employment!

👩‍🍳 What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing delicious everyday favorites: soups, our famous chowders, chili, lunch specials, sandwiches, and subs.

Managing kitchen prep: replenishing fillings, slicing meats, and maintaining portion control.

Keeping everyone safe by tracking food temperatures and following safe food handling practices.

Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.

Pitching in with opening setup, friendly customer service, phone orders, transactions, and inventory.

✨ Who We’re Looking For

A reliable, respectful, and organized team player with a positive attitude.

Someone who learns quickly, takes direction well, and can work independently once trained.

A clear, friendly communicator who thrives in a bustling kitchen environment.

Knowledgeable in safe food handling (Have a Food Handler’s Certificate? Great! If not, we are happy to support you in obtaining one).
