A Big shout out to all the folks who rode their bikes to the Cafe during the ‘Cinnamon Bun Ride’ event this past weekend. There were 82 riders (and maybe a few more that didn’t write their names on the poster board). Gerick Cycle and Ski

Between this past weekends Event, the E-bike raffle and the Community donation jar we managed to raise just over $3000!

We also have a couple more folks who won pizza and cinnamon buns - thanks to everyone who added to the donation jar!

Sandra Fuller won a dozen cinnamon buns and Helen Beauchamp won a pizza.

Amazing communities we are together.🤩

It’s been a great turnout so far!

Ride your bike to the Cafe tomorrow so we can donate in your name.

Proceeds go to the Procter Community Society to help look after the old Procter Schoolhouse and grounds.

The drawer for the E-bike is at 3 PM tomorrow so you’ve still got time to purchase your tickets.

Can’t make it to the Cafe tomorrow? No problem, you can E-transfer to [email protected].

Hello from all of us at the The Procter Village Café ☕️

Next weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday (August 14 - 16) we are hosting our annual ‘Cinnamon Bun Ride’. This event is part of our annual fundraiser, to raise funds for the Procter Community Society to help look after the old Schoolhouse and grounds where the Cafe is located. We also have a Raffle going for an e-Bike, plus other prizes (tickets are available at the Cafe, the Procter General Store, Kokanee Park Marina and Gerick Cycle and Ski).

You can find more information about the Cinnamon Bun Ride on the poster attached, as well as by clicking the Nelson & Kootenay Lake Tourism link which will take you to a wonderful article about the event:

https://www.nelsonkootenaylake.com/stories/procter-cinnamon-bun-ride

The Cafe will donate $2 per rider that arrives on two (human powered) wheels at the Cafe during the event. If you’d also like to help raise funds for the Procter Community Society by sponsoring riders, please call 778-529-2277 for details (ask for Lisa). Any amount per rider would be amazing!

Without our incredible sponsors this fundraiser would not be possible. Many thanks to Gerick Cycle and Ski who are supporting both the e-Bike Raffle and the Cinnamon Bun Ride, to Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism for their donation to the Cinnamon Bun Ride and to the Procter General Store and Kokanee Park Marina for selling raffle tickets. Thanks also, to the Procter Community Society for their help with both events and everything they do throughout the year.

Keep on riding!
