By 2023, something shifted.

We stopped being just a «hidden gem» and became part of your milestones. Birthdays, corporate events, weekend traditions. We remember looking at the counter one afternoon, completely sold out of pastries by noon, and thinking: people are driving across the Tri-Cities just for our Napoleon.

That kind of support changes you. It makes you want to work harder, bake better, and pour a warmer cup every single day.

From cottage cheese pancakes to a powerhouse team.

2022 was the year everything leveled up. We introduced our legendary syrnyky—cottage cheese pancakes that completely changed our game, and watched our little team grow into a powerhouse crew of 20 people.

To top it all off, we somehow walked away as the winners of the Spike Business Awards for Best New Business.

It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but looking back at how far we’d come made every single early morning totally worth it. 🥞🏆

2020 was the year the world got very quiet, and every small business owner held their breath.

Cafés closed. Streets emptied. For us, it came down to this place, and the people who kept showing up, even when it wasn't easy. Whether it was a takeaway coffee handed through a door or a familiar face waving from the sidewalk, you showed us that Kaffi was more than just a shop.

It was a connection worth protecting. Thank you for not letting us disappear. 🤍

How it started: 2019.

We opened our doors as a partnership with another Ukrainian family. For the first four months, we worked every single hour ourselves, learning on the fly. We didn't know anything about coffee. We didn’t even drink coffee.

Then partnerships dissolved, and suddenly it was just the two of us, Nastya and Dima, running a café from scratch. Hiring our first employees, figuring out our first payroll, and holding our breath.

We had no grand plan. Just a lot of grit and a dream of a warm place to gather. Look how far we've come.

This week, we’re looking back at the years that brought us to today. Stay with us.
