Today, the Fleur de Lis team pauses to reflect, remember, and learn.
On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities who continue to carry the impact of this painful history.
We believe reconciliation begins with listening, learning, understanding, and taking meaningful steps forward together.
As a business in the community of Port Hawkesbury, we are grateful to live, work, and gather on Miโkmaโki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Miโkmaq people. We are committed to continuing to learn and to showing respect for the Miโkmaq people, culture, history, and traditions.
Today, we remember.
Today, we listen.
Today, and every day, we carry the spirit of reconciliation forward.
๐งก Every Child Matters.
With respect and care,
The Fleur de Lis Staff
