He blocked a highway to save 500 lives. Would you have stopped? Imagine driving down a busy highway, looking into the back of a truck, and seeing hundreds of terrified eyes staring back at you. Most people would keep driving. One man didn't.

Inside a cramped truck traveling through China, over 500 dogs were packed into tiny wire cages, crushed together without food, water, or room to breathe, destined for a slaughterhouse.

Instead of looking away, this driver risked everything by parking his car directly in front of the massive truck, forcing it to a halt on the busy highway.

His lone act of defiance sparked an immediate movement. Within hours, hundreds of local activists and everyday citizens rushed to the scene, blockading the truck, passing bottles of water through the wire mesh, and demanding the dogs' release.

After a grueling, tense standoff, authorities intervened. The dogs were legally transferred to rescue organizations like Humane Society International. While some tragically succumbed to the heat and trauma, hundreds of these dogs were rehabilitated and adopted into loving homes across the globe.

True bravery means standing up when the world tells you to keep driving.

Oh, the delight of this.
The crew of the J.P. Tully sailed the ship on a track line in the shape of a whale. The skill in charting and navigation!

We arrived at this location at midnight. In the morning, we were to deploy a "passive acoustic recorder" (a recorder that stays down for about a year to detect the presence of whales). So the ship had to stay under power in the general area overnight. The water was much too deep to anchor and could not just bob back and forth out there. It had to stay under power.

The night shift decided to make it entertaining and test their skills, rather than sail in a circle or straight lines.

You can imagine the laughter and joy when we groggily looked at the screen at 6 am to see where we were and noted the track line art.

Thank you, Team Tully!
