Wow! This is such great news for our beautiful Port Alberni!👏🌟❣️

🥳🎉 We did it!!!! HGTV's Home Town Takeover Canada has selected Port Alberni to be the star of season one!!🏆
And its all thanks to our community with a ♥️

Thank you to everyone who came to Harbour Quay today to show the world what makes Port Alberni so great- it’s people!

And our heartfelt appreciation to the talented folks behind the scenes who helped showcase our town along the way, from our first submission video to HGTV, to multiple town events… We’re broadcasting our community pride for all to see!

Home Town Takeover Canada will begin filming on June 10 (tomorrow!), and finish August 28, 2026.

Stay tuned to learn more about what this exciting project will bring Port Alberni, and get ready for the grand reveal when the show airs in fall, 2026!
