It is now indisputably summer. And that means…

It’s affogato season!

After a little trial and error, we feel like we’ve got the perfect blend of gelato and espresso for a really indulgent treat. Right now we’re carrying Vanilla Coconut, Butterbeer, and Minty Mysteaque, all made locally here in Port Alberni.

What, we’re already a week into July and I forgot to post our monthly specials? Surely not…

Anyway. We’ve got a returning favourite in our Chicken Curry this month, and a new treat in our Nanaimo bar! We’re also offering a specially-brewed ginger peach green tea, which is delightful warm or iced.

And of course, summertime is in full swing, which means Affogatos are back on the menu! We have three flavours to choose from currently: the classic coconut dairy free gelato from Coombs Country Candy, and two specialty flavours from Munch Gelato: their own creation Butterbeer and a collaboration with us, using Westholme’s Mysteaque. (They are so addictive. Please come get some so we don’t eat all the gelato ourselves. Send help.)
