ONE YEAR IN… 🚂

This week marks one year of The Station Taphouse.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us and dined with us over the last 12 months.

It’s a wild thing opening a brand new restaurant at a time when most people’s reaction amounts to, “you sure about that?”

I was born and raised in Port Alberni, and I care deeply about this community. The Station was an opportunity to build something uniquely Port Alberni, in a beautiful historic space, and to explore what we believe should be celebrated when it comes to West Coast-inspired dining.

The Station is also an extension of what we started with Twin City Brewing. The brewery and tasting room gave us the opportunity to dream a little bigger, and the Station gave us a chance to take that dream somewhere new.

Great local ingredients and refined flavours have become a big part of what we do here. We are pretty spoiled to have access to some of the best local seafood, as well as some of the best craft beer, cider and spirits being produced in our region.

We couldn’t have made it to this milestone without the dedication of our outstanding team, or the guests who appreciate each small effort and encourage us to keep pushing forward with our food and hospitality.

We love having you dine with us, Port Alberni.

And if you haven’t made it in yet, we’d love to host you. Help us spread the word that The Station is open for lunch, too. Going into the fall, we’d love to see more of you through our doors in the middle of the day.

Thanks for giving us a chance to build something here. It means a lot.

CLARIFIED COCKTAIL FLIGHT 🧊
If you needed one more reason to add The Station Taphouse to your weekend plans, consider our new featured cocktail flight.

All-around bar wizard, Graham, has put together a collection of four clarified cocktails and it’s only around for a super limited time starting today.

Milk washed and filtered, this technique softens harshness and integrates flavours in a beautiful way. If you’ve had our clarified pina colada (available on the regular menu), you’ll understand.
